Ian McKellen Updates His Blog: “Cricket for Christchurch”

Ian McKellen

In his latest blog entry, Sir Ian McKellen describes the cricket match he participated in as a means to raise funds for Christchurch. He discusses The Basin Reserve in Wellington and his position as the Referee – which he jests as being ‘technically the most important person’. 🙂

There are pictures in this blog entry of McKellen with Russell Crowe, who had come to support his cousin, Martin Crowe.

A poignant one-liner stays with me as I finish reading this blog entry, and that would be Sir Ian McKellen mentioning, in true wise-Wizard fashion: “One way out of misery is to imagine the future.”
